Unless it makes sense in context, the entry for Avatar The Last Airbender The Search in the others section does not make any sense. I haven't read the comics yet so I can't fix it myself.

Please avoid abusing ALLCAPS.

  • Superman's costume is based on athletic trunks/wrestling gear(which is self-evidently quite flamboyant and eye-catchy by nature)!!! IE: His costume is TRUNKS/SHORTS on top of TIGHTS...IT ISN'T "UNDERWEAR OVER/OUTSIDE OF HIS PANTS"!!!! THERE'S NO NEED TO "CHANGE" ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! IT'S ICONIC, IT'S OSTENTATIOUS(and purposely so) AND EVERYONE FROM HULK HOGAN TO RIC FLAIR TO THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR TO RANDY SAVAGE(OMG, *definitely* Randy Savage) WOULD AGREE!!! It's to differentiate you from the crowd, make you stand out, and thereby *distract* the attention away from innocent civilians/bystanders...IT SERVES A PURPOSE, AND IT MAKES SENSE!!! GET IT IN YOUR HEAD! GAWD!!!

Um, guys, I think I broke the page somehow. I just added a bit to one of the 'bangers and when I saved the edit, somehow about 3/4th of the page was just gone. Please tell me it can be restored from a cache or something.

Never mind. Fixed it.

Unless I'm wrong, Ian Flynn's Word of God for Sonic the Hedgehog said that Geoffrey St. John is not the traitor that Silver is looking for (although I can see where the theory came from, plus the writer could change at any moment now). I removed it to fit this. Found it off Mobius Encyclopedia, (though it may not be 100% reliable).

Though his betrayal could be a Wall Banger in itself, I suppose (having happened with an explanation that probably had little, if any, Foreshadowing), but I'd rather not put my own opinions here unless others agree.

is there a wallbanger page for chick tracts?

I may have misread and it said to go the the main chick tract page

I'm a christian, but I'm under the impression the stories are so ludicrous they can't be taken seriously

For Sins Past, were the children in any way villainous? I would think Spiderman shouldn't save them because they're Gwen's children.

He should save them because he's the goddamn Spiderman.

He saves people (or tries to). That's what he does. Who cares who their father was, if they themselves are not evil?

That's precisely what the post is about. He should have saved them despite their parentage not because of it.

"It doesn't matter that their mom cheated on me with my worst enemy: they aren't evil and it's not their fault anyway, I must save them" - noble.

"I must save them: they are everything that's left of their mom who cheated on me with my worst enemy" - just stupid.

Ah. Thanks, it's just that the long tirade seemed to indicate that he shouldn't be saving them at all, and that seemed un-Spiderman-like.

Originally it was quite clear about the intention, but yeah, after several edits the point became kinda lost.

Note: there are many Real Life instances of people deciding they are gay after they've had a straight relationship for a while. It happening to Rotor from the Sonic comix is annoying, but not in itself something worth denting a wall over.

I strongly recommend that we start a Sonic the Hedgehog folder...

It is possible, depending on who's running the asylum these days, that editors at Marvel Comics are reading this page to get ideas of what to do to tick off their fanbase.

Cut Hal Jordans Face-Heel Turn, for now, since it appears to happen primarily because of Executive Meddling. Does this fall under the "no Executive Meddling" rule?

If we reinstate it, let's stress how far it went. Hal Jordan killed all the Guardians but one and all the extant Green Lanterns. If there was any margin of error there...

When I put down "Executive Meddling" (when I added the warning not to put Real Life examples) I was referring to things like stuff going on within (for instance) the Marvel Corporation, not its effects (such as Hannah Montana having a Broken Aesop in its film).

Basically, fictional events, not reality.

Oops... sorry.

Cut this because it doesn't belong on the page. Putting it here because, well, it's a good insight.

  • Magneto has always believed his specific "race" is inherently superior and deserves to rule the planet with no qualms about murdering the "inferior" masses to accomplish that... which is pretty much Hitler in a nutshell. Grant felt that people were forgetting he was a "mad old terrorist twat" and sympathizing with a race-driven terrorist a bit too much, hence the Hitler allusions were stronger than usual. That's the reason Magneto reacts as badly as he does to Beak's statement about the Nazis: he realizes he's become the very monster he hates most and can't accept that reality.
