Am I the only one who feels that Ky is rightfully fair in asking for a explanation, and to be angry about it on the Fourth Floor? Its bad enough that he's been taken from his own life into hostile situations, but now Naia-someone I don't want to dislike, but I do-keeps giving him shit and dodging his questions. She claims to be an ally. Allies in a life-or-death situation where the person doing all of the life-and-deathing don't have the right to be as snarky and mean as she does.

Naia is an ally. When you progress far enough, you learn that Naia is in as much peril as Ky is, and is forced to withhold information from him or she'll be killed too.

Right, because whatever is happening here is so far outside what could be helpful to both of them that she can't sneak away a message. She has control consoles, and by the Fifth section, she's actively there in the safe room. It would not have been hard for her to confide in Ky, especially when by that point he's already shown considerable skill with spellcasting.

Except for the fact that the Guardians have godlike powers, and monitor everything that's happening within the Tower. No, she couldn't sneak off a message, because she's always being watched. It wouldn't have been hard, but impossible for her to get a message off. The only reason that the duplicate of Ky is able to do it because he exists outside the computer program, in a space they cannot monitor.
