Eat bread, make sandwiches, know what I'm saying?Sequel is almost here. Time to split the tropes in 2 folders?
Edited by FlamingoKai My Deviant Art account. There might be art there. Sometimes. Hide / Show RepliesMore like, create a new page since PXZ 2 will have its own sheer number of tropes that applies to it specifically?
For some reason, when I try to edit the YVMV page for this game, I just get a blank page with nothing on it when I tap 'Edit Page' on my I Pad.
Edited by OperationgamerAbout The 'Verse:
Ok, so a good bit of Namco X Capcom and Project X Zone take place in the same world. And Nx C's main characters are in Endless Frontier, whose main characters are also present in in Px Z, so it is also a part. Now, here's what I want to know:
If Super Robot Wars Original Generations is considered a part of this verse, would that mean that another game that had the characters from OGs in it would be a part as well?
Edited by ShinnBidan Hide / Show RepliesKinda late, but ACE:R is canon now to 2nd OG.
Hopefully we get some word from Sanger when 3rd OG comes out alongside Judgement characters.
I think the main page title needs to be corrected - the X shouldn't be small. Is there a particular reason it's like that?
Hide / Show RepliesSent a fixing request.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMaybe it's a bit too early to do this, but I'm thinking of making a Characters page. Should we wait for the game to be released first?
MAX POWER KILL JEEEEEEEEWWWWW Hide / Show Repliesmake one so we can actually just fill up the stuff for the Original Generation people instead of finding which trope is which for those OG people.
The character pages for Super Robot Wars and the like generally only include the Original Generation characters debuting in each game and not any of the Crossover characters. (While this isn't a SRW game, it's made the same company).
Hmm, I see.
Though since we only have 3 big game companies here, I'm suggesting it being split into smaller subpages, with the O Gs in the main character page itself (similar to Street Fighter X Tekken).
What do you think? *Shy Finger-Twiddling*
MAX POWER KILL JEEEEEEEEWWWWWSounds like a good idea to me.
I think the reason the Super Robot Wars character pages don't do that is because it's repetitive since just about any tropes that apply to the characters in their source material applies to them in the games.
Likewise, tropes that apply to the characters featured here would theoretically apply to them from their source games. That being said, quite a few of these games don't have Character Sheets, and as you pointed out, Tekken X Street Fighter has one (as does Marvel Vs Capcom 3), so if you want to go to the trouble of making one for featured characters, go right ahead. If I can, I'll help with anything I think you're missing.
Edited by ShinnBidanWhat I'm thinking is that there would be some tropes which will be played exclusively in this game (in part because the game is story-heavy). Of course, some tropes that the characters played in their source materials don't necessarily have to go here (for example we don't have to note that Zero come Back from the Dead a couple of times).
Okay, I'll find time to do it. I'm mostly a Capcom guy though, so I only have few words regarding Namco or Sega characters.
MAX POWER KILL JEEEEEEEEWWWWWYou do that. I'm honestly kind of happy that somebody is actually attempting to do this. I would've...if I had played pretty much any of these games.
I can try helping out for the Sega and Namco characters cause I have played quite a few games from both companies (well actually all three), and I already know the plot of Namco X Capcom and since this is practically the sequel already of sorts (And if you wanna be technical, this entire shenanigans might as well have started ever since Hero Senki and SRW Alpha -> SRW A (just the beginning phase where Axel detonates the portal leaving Beowulf behind) -> SRW OGS 1 and OGS 2 (with Nx C storyline happening) -> Endless Frontier -> EXCEED ( Axel (as Ahoseru), Alfimi and Kouta go to Endless Frontier) -> This game).
Though, the one's I'm not really positive on are .hack (Kite's story as I've played G.U. instead), Valkyria Chronicles III (No Export for You), and Gods Eater Burst.
Edited by salvadorfranzWhat is Valkyrie's "call me Seventeen" line referring to, I wonder?
MAX POWER KILL JEEEEEEEEWWWWW Hide / Show RepliesAssuming that you really don't know, Valkyrie is voiced by Kikuko Inoue, and if you read her page, then you should know the reason behind that line.
