The representation of Uganda in the musical seems to be a mix of Shown Their Work and Artistic License. The issues (female genital mutilation, AIDS, baby-rape as a cure for AIDS, etc.) are all relevant to Uganda or to other African nations in the region, but statements like "And 80% of us have AIDS" are obvious exaggerations (the actual HIV infection rate in Uganda is between 5 and 15% — the highest infection rates are in countries farther south).

I tried to say something like this in the main article, but it ended up sounding too much like Natter and got removed.
