Should the Lovecraft Lite entry be updaqted to include that there is now, ever sicne the book Horror Adventurers came out, a way to implement a Santiy Meter?
Should there be a sub page for locations or would that be considered to be part of 'mortals' character sub page?
So, what should we do about third party material? I'm mainly asking because I'd like to add some examples from Dreamscarred's stuff, which is mostly mechanics, so I can't just make a page for Third Dawn and add it in there.
Hide / Show RepliesPerhaps add a subsection on the page, and/or a subpage for it? Please advise, anyone more versed in the site's style guidelines.
Would anyone be violently opposed to me spinning off a Pathfinder Society page?
Hide / Show RepliesThis is getting ridiculous. Should Pathfinder get its own Our Monsters Are Different subpage?
I'm too old to be cute dammitShould character sheets also include characters and races? Just something I'd like to know.
I'm too old to be cute dammitShould the comment on Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards be removed? There have been lots of arguments on the forums about whether or not Power Attack has been nerfed (Better for one-handed or two-weapon fighters, so on and so forth), among other things. While there is definitely a discrepancy in power levels between fighters and casters, that comment seems like it belongs on the YMMV or discussion page. I'm kind of new at this so I'm hesitant to do it myself.
It might be a good idea to add a page for the Pathfinder Tales (the novels, Pathfinder Journals, etc.) A separate page, with its own Character Sheet if it gets developed enough, due to the scope of Pathfinder. I wanted to add it myself, but I recently joined and I don't know how.
Hide / Show RepliesI started the page; it currently doesn't have any tropes on it, and needs working on.
Where does the information on Asmodeus's brother Ihys come from? I've found nothing on him in any Pathfinder books I've read so far.
Groovy. Hide / Show RepliesOK, I got my hands on Book of the Damned: Princes of Darkness, and that answered my question. For the longest time I thought Ihys's existence was Fanon...
Groovy.I had added this as an example of Public Domain Character before realizing that it was pointedly not an example. IS there a trope for going back to the roots of a work, or in this case a fictional creature?
Original pre-cut text below:
- Public Domain Character: A number of monsters pulled from Victorian and pulp literature feature in the setting. This has also allowed Pathfinder to have creatures that would otherwise be exclusively D&D IP, by way of going back to the roots of many of those D&D creatures. For example, D&D's displacer beast was not open content. Paizo went to the estate of sci-fi author A. E. van Vogt and got permission to use the coeurl, which the displacer beast was based upon.
I take it the iconics are fair game for troping?
Hide / Show RepliesAny thoughts about whether or not the gods should go in the character sheet, or should they be left as just part of the setting background to be covered by tropes on the main page. There's quite a few there already, mostly about Asmodeus.
