Can we just get rid of this page? It is completely pointless. These moments are just what people personally think. They're not real examples! These pages are nothing but fans who want to wank about their favorite things! These pages aren't informative like the half of the wiki!

There's this neato section called "Just For Fun", I suppose you haven't heard of it? It's a pretty cool category. Eh lets us enjoy ourselves and doesn't afraid of anything.

Anyone know what happened to the quote that used to be up top? It was something to the effect of: "C Mo A, the moment when the viewership exclaims in one voice, "Holy @!$& that was the most badass thing I've ever seen!""

It's generally to keep the gushing out of the main pages. I think they're fun to read though.

Why does almost every single main/ page have a C Mo A marker? :\

I was just going to ask that. I was especially disturbed that it showed up for the Irate Gamer. That show sucks so much.

Seriously, why is there a CMOA for every last page? This includes the Garbage Pail Kids Movie.

Some people must have thought it was awesome. After all, since this is a subjective trope, pretty much anyone can claim one for their favorite show as long as they have a few friends to second it.

What about my question about that there is a CMOA on every page? It has to be a large glitch.

All the pages have crowning links now, regardless if there are actually any Moments (the pages with no Moments will be grayed out.)

What the Hell happened to the sports part of this page? First the So Bad Its Horrible page deleted it, now the Crowning Moment Of Awesome page does the same thing?! Can someone give me an explanation about this?

Apparently, despite the slew of films and literature based on Sports and Sports-related events, Tropes can't take place in Sports.

Seriously, though, you won't get one. I mean, one that's more expanded than 'Because we wanted to.' Most pages having to do with Real Life examples are getting purged En Masse. The best I can tell you is to save your favorite sports related pages, if there are any left, and Keep Circulating The Tapes.

FYI, there's a forum thread about this. You could try to argue there้

Considering how frequently people use the acronym CMoA when writing about this trope without using the proper formatting to make sure it doesn't redirect to the nonexistent C Mo A page, I think that C Mo A should be made a redirect for this trope just for ease of editing. Would there be any issue with this?

Yes, plenty of issue. We don't do initials. If you want the people to know the trope, call it by its name.

Um, why did we delete the real life and war and politics sections? What's the point in deleting those articles?

Yeah... I'm pretty sure they where there earlier in the day and know they're gone. Is this part of the new "crowners" thing? because if it is I think it's pretty stupid. I enjoyed reading the real life section for a quick pick-me-up any time I was feeling down and needed some inspiration.

Agreeing with the above peoples, in fact I just came onto tvTropes specifically to read the real life crowning moment of awesome stuff, and much to my dismay, it's missing D:

this is turning this very moment into a dethroning moment of suck for me! oh nooooo

Please bring back the Crowning Moments of Awesome for Real Life and World War 2. They are the best pages in TV Tropes.

I've let myself known so I can post in the forums, since it seems only a few of the admins are aware that people do want this page back.

Yeah, seriously? "Tropes don't apply to real life," what the fuck?! Why can't they? This website did not come up with the idea of tropes; they were around long before the internet, and let's face it, sometimes Real Life does make you want to stand up and cheer. Also: Consider that plenty of stories are exaggerations of something that actually happened, and every single argument for why tropes can't apply to Real Life falls apart real fuckin' fast.

Yeah, I liked the real life sections.

I mean, Real Life can be awesome.

Interestingly, I find it a little insulting that the CMOA for WWII got deleted. To me, that is like ignoring the heroic actions that the soldiers undertook.

I loved those pages so much. I understand how huge Real Life pages can touch away from the subject of media tropes themselves, but they had plenty of heart. I will also say that I don't specifically come to TV Tropes just to read pages on real life, as it's obviously not the purpose of this wiki. However, they were a nice touch. They were easily, neatly cataloged, rapid-fire reminders of how great the world is. It'd be nice to have them back.

Agreed. As the title page puts it, tropes can be found in real life, and it nice to know CMO As can be found in real life in LARGE numbers, so I also agree it should be brought back.

I definately would like to see the return of the Crowning Moment of Awesome for the Sports page. Although, I do find it really weird that the Real Life section was removed as well.

I'd really like it if the real life C Mo A pages made a comeback. Because tropes do exist in real life, or maybe real life breeds a lot of these tropes in the first place.

Alternatively, it would have been nice if someone had been able to save all those Crowning Moments of Awesome and post them on another page or something before they were all deleted without any ceremony. (Just to be on the safe side, I've C&P'd the Heartwarming Moments from Real Life and saved them on my computer.) It'd be nice to go somewhere and read some short, informal reasons as to why humans can be goddamn awesome (science! crimefighting! sports!) It was nice to learn such cool and interesting facts.

So, the response to the problem of this being inflated beyond reason is to...remove the things that were meant to -curb- the inflation, basically giving up to the people who want to make everything a CMOA.

What the fuck.
