Okay here are 10 things Amy Winehouse will be remembered for more than dying young or her lifestyle.

/ Having the best selling album of the century so far in the United Kingdom, it will be topped in that respect eventually but it is still nevertheless the best selling album of the 00's in the United Kingdom no matter what, it was also a universal critical success and is usually ranked among the best (if not the best) albums of the decade in music magazines.

/ Winning five Grammies in a single night, the first time any British artist has ever won that many in a single night and one of only a very few number of times a female artist has won that many in a single night.

/ Inspiring a whole generation of singer songwriters and paving the way for them. Adele one of the biggest stars on the planet right now has cited Amy as one of the biggest influences on her style of music and said many times if it were not for Back to Black she and many others would not have been nearly as successful. Lady Gaga the other biggest star on the planet right now said virtually the same thing, as have the other most major and successful artists of the past five years like Duffy, Paloma Faith, Jessie J, Florence and the Machine etc. Even Tom Jones an artist over twice her age's comeback album in 2008 was inspired by Back to Black.

/ Recording one of the most famous cover songs of all time, not only was Valerie a huge hit but its one of the few covers like all along the watchtower where most people think the artist covering it wrote it.

/ Winning 23 awards by the age of 24 including obviously not only the Grammies but many other prestigious music awards like The Mercury Prize Award, Mobo Awards, Brit awards Ivor Novello award etc.

/ Having arguably the most famous and successful artist of the past 3 generations admire her and express an interest in working with her. Diana Ross, George Michael, Ringo Starr, Paul Mcartney, Tony Bennett, The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Roger Daltry, Debbie Harry, Brian May, Quincy Jones, Beyonce, U2, Kanye West and that's before we get into all the people that were inspired by her like Adele, Lady Gaga, Duffy, Paloma Faith etc.

/ Kicking off a third British invasion, since her huge success over there, there have been a whole wave of British artists especially young female artists all of whom even if they weren't inspired by her directly have said that she still paved the way for them. To think this website actually says she was a one hit wonder in the states.

/ Her distinctive fashion style, Beehive hairdo etc, which became very iconic, there are countless Amy Winehouse halloween costumes her style was also a muse for fashion houses such as chanel under Karl Lagerfelt.

/ Starting the career of another singer her god daughter Dionne Bromfield.

/ Her hit singles like Rehab, You Know I'm No Good, which were not only very popular have been used as the themes in television programmes like Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Also she didn't die from a drug overdose, no illegal drugs where in her system and is believed to have been a detox pill that killed her. This articles statement that she will only be remembered for dying young and that no one heard of her before she was arrested for drug charges is one of the most ignorant things I have ever read in my life. And even if the vast majority of people that write for this site agree with that ridiculous statement then the least they could do is mention her other achievements which they do for most other artists on this page, they say what the accomplished then what they did that they will never live down, this page acts as though thats what she was only ever famous for which is ignorant Bullshit.
