Because we've got separate pages for DB and DBZ. Licensing-wise they're separate works at this point, not to mention the page is large enough it'd need a split anyway, so the fact there's an official place to divide examples is convenient.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. But this page is in the Manga namespace, not the Anime namespace. And as said before, DB and Z were not separate things in the manga, they were one story. The reason the split existed in the anime was for marketing, and to help the transition to a new series director. Hell, even as far as the anime was concerned, the split wasn't a big deal; the first episode of Z aired precisely one week after the last episode of DB, in the same timeslot as DB had always maintained, and the same timeslot the franchise would continue to hold all the way into GT. And the tone change from the final DB episodes to the early Z episodes is absolutely nothing.
It's one story that the anime sorted into two pieces, for marketing reasons, so splitting it up on the manga page is nonsensical.
Edited by Robo4900I axed Anyone Can Die from the example lists. While it's true that any given character could be killed, since they can't stay dead, then it's not an example. To qualify for Anyone Can Die, main characters have to be Killed Off for Real which certainly doesn't happen in this show.

Edited by 108.48.88.58 Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Does anyone else think that Dragon Ball could/ should have its own page for Curb-Stomp Battle? I mean, I can think of a ton of one- sided battles in the series, just off the top of my head:
- Goku vs. Nappa
- Vegeta vs. Cui
- Vegeta vs. Dodoria
- Vegeta vs. Zarbon (rematch)
- Goku vs. Recoome
- Goku vs. Burter and Jeice
- Freeza (3rd form) vs. Piccolo
- Freeza (final form) vs. Vegeta
- Trunks vs. Freeza and King Cold
- Trunks vs. Future Android #17, Android #18 and Imperfect Cell
- Vegeta vs. Android #19
- Piccolo vs. Dr. Gero
- Cell vs. Mr. Satan
- Gohan vs. Cell Jrs
- SSJ 2 Gohan vs. Bojack
- Mr. Satan vs. Spopovich (flashback)
- Krillin vs. Pintar
- Goku and Pikkon vs. Freeza, Cell, King Cold and the Ginyu Force
- Vegeta vs. Pui Pui
- Gohan vs. Freeza (Fusion Reborn)
- Bills vs. Goku
Obviously, I'd describe all of these examples in detail when creating the page. I just wanted to make the point that I think it happens enough to merit its own page.
Edited by 149.125.219.132 I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.Hmm... there an effective way we can split the Z continuity from this page (Anime/DragonBallZ perhaps)? I mean we do have GT and Kai with their own pages (although the latter is an enhanced Z), so it only makes sense this way.
Edited by 69.172.221.8 I now go by Graf von Tirol. Hide / Show RepliesThat just makes sense to me. I agree.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I am now initiating a project to create a Franchise/ index page, and I suppose part of it would include making DBZ into its own page.
I now go by Graf von Tirol. The problem is, Dragon Ball implies that it's about the manga, which includes both the "Dragon Ball" and "Z" eras of the anime. The manga is not "followed" by Dragon Ball Z; it includes it (minus the filler bits, of course).
A Dragon Ball section would solve this problem, but it will take a while to untangle which things apply to the manga and which to the anime (and which exclusively to the Viz and FU Nimation adaptations).
Where can I read articles for the video games? I was hoping to read about Ultimate Tenkaichi but I couldn't find anything.
Hide / Show RepliesYou could start the article, if you'd like? Something that covers everything from the earliest Famicom titles up to Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission for the 3DS would be nice, though something of a chore to make...
Isn't Goku's very name a form of Follow the Leader? Considering the multiple stories based on Journey To The West, most of those adaptations us the name "Son Goku" instead of "Sun Wukong." "Goku" is a name that is probably going to be just as identifiable with the original Chinese epic as the original "Sun Wukong."
Hide / Show RepliesDisregard that statement. I had no idea that Son Goku was actually a Japanese Dub Name Change. I thought that it was completely original starting from Dragon Ball.
I am afraid that this show is one big tease. Don't get me wrong I used to die for this show. I tuned in every week to see their latest escapades, or the next continuation of a fight from last week, but everything happens so slow, it's hard to keep up. One week they are showing you Vageta and Goku meeting for the first time, next week the series has been restarted again to the episode where Gohan flies without even knowing it. Then their is all of the filler glaring and staring, the "AHHH, his power level is OVER 9000!!!!" breaks that they take. It just gets to be too much.

I suggest changing the "Later Days" picture to this one. It has the main cast throughout the years at the very end of the series. The other one just features them in the Buu Saga ten years before it ended.
I deleted the Freeza example of Ax-Crazy not too long ago, but I noticed that it has been reincluded, and so I'd like to elaborate here why I do not think Freeza is an Ax-Crazy character.
First, I think we can all agree that Freeza is a very evil character with no redeeming cqualities and no standards that we know of. That said, I don't think Freeza is one to kill without reason. I think that, unless there is something to be gained from it, Freeza will not kill.
When he destroyed Planet Vegeta, it was because he feared the legendary Super Saiyan. He blew the planet up because, on his mind, that would remove any danger of the Super Saiyan being born and overthrowing him. I also think that, had the legend of the Super Saiyan never existed, Freeza would not have destroyed the Saiyans. For proof, notice how he kept a few Saiyans as his henchmen (Vegeta, Nappa and Radit), which means he does see the Saiyans as a resource worth keeping, just not en masse.
On Namek, Freeza killed many natives because he wanted the Dragon Balls and the natives refused to give them to him. He figured that, if he killed a few natives, the others would be so scared that they would do whatever he said. It's worth mentioning that Freeza himself killed few natives, prefering to let his henchmen do the killing on his stead.
Furthermore, when his plans were starting to go south, Freeza, who was by far and wide the strongest being on Namek at the time, decided to summon the Ginyu Force instead of taking matters on his own hands. That shows that Freeza actually prefers to avoid conflict and will not fight unless there is no other option left, which is contrary to the Ax-Crazy archetype.
- Ascended Fanfic: Dragon Ball GT is essentially this.
Dragon Ball GT not originated of a fanfic or similar
Should the picture of the late Dragon Ball Cast be changed? I think it should be this one.
It shows all of them at the very end of the series.
It's ok to start re-indexing this, right?
I stopped listening after you said "We need a plan."
Why does the description pan cut off after Goku's marriage, as if that was the end of the series? The Anime tries to present the two "halves" of Dragon Ball as two different things but no such distinction was in the manga, so shouldn't it go all the way till Goku's departure to train Uub or maybe the movies that are supposedly leading to a Dragon Ball Super manga?
