How long is that Cat Proximity comic going to stay as the page image? I don't think it really exemplifies XKCD as a whole.

Take it to the Image Pickin' forum if you want to get a vote going.

Fanboys, probably.

The IJBM page was half a discussion about The Game which had only a tangential relationship to the comic, and half someone complaining about one comic in particular being "The most NSFW comic ever."

Why do we need links to xkcdexplained? This article is about the comic xkcd, not its fandom, hatedom, wackydom, fnorddom, or anything else. If people want to bash the comic, they can do it in plenty of other places. Let's not turn this into Sonichu-lite.

If people want to bash the comic, they can do it in plenty of other places. ...How does that tie into the rest of your point?

My point is that a substantial part of the bile that gets heaped on many controversial pages like xkcd seems to be derived from the idea that a discussion of the subject cannot be complete without mentioning every example of hatedom that exists. That's not the point of the wiki. In fact, we're on a general mission from the admins to cut out this kind of cruft and reduce the use of Subjective Tropes and tropes that apply to the fandom rather than the work. We are not Wikipedia, but we also aren't ED.

Put it this way: can you think of a good reason why xkcdexplained needs to be on this page? Having it here only increases the likelihood of attracting Natter, as can easily be seen from recent edits.

The alternative to self-policing is to have pages scrubbed and locked and tropers banned.

This strip. "Dirty Harry meets Rain Man". I know it exemplifies some trope, but I'm not sure which.

xkcd #954, Chin-Up BarI've actually been on that escalator. But the Trivia page is a list of xkcd images on TV Tropes. Help?

Just add a new paragraph (preferably before the list.) listing the actual trivia tropes, for example like this:

Miscellaneous trivia tropes and information

Lists of xkcd images used on TV Tropes
