This series sounds somewhat interesting to me, and I'm considering checking it out. Before that, however, I have an important question. You see, I'm not really into anime, in general, although there are one or two exceptions. And what I want to know is this: are the creators really interested in telling a well-researched story about the Norse, or are they just using the setting as a gimmick for a generic shonen work? I'm interested in checking this out because of the Norse setting, not because it's an anime. Would I like it?

Does anyone else think Thorkell qualifies as an Ensemble Darkhorse? He is the most memorably awesome character, for various reasons.
