Alright, turns out the namespaces are becoming standardized, but its looking like whoever set up the custom title hit a snag, or a bug. The title font for both original and reboot features a characteristic CamelCase. As of now, ThunderCats is acheived through typing {{Thundercats}} and ThunderCats (2011) by typing {{Thundercats 2011}} But though the custom display supposedly exists for the namespace, I haven't found a way to input the WesternAnimation/ character string for the names-the-same 2011! version that retains CamelCase and parenthetical year.

Aaaand, its a bug. The WikiWording of the Western Animation namespace borks Custom Title perception. Latter edit: WesternAnimation/{{Thundercats 2011}} yields Thundercats 2011, which looks easiest to fix, that is hoping they work out the display bug. Now, I understand why wicks have been vanishing. This namespace migration is bumpy business. Anybody who's up for the gruntwork, check your brackets, indexical display, that good ol' preview button...etc.

My Dad was so pissed when Mumm-ra transformed outside from his temple. He thought the creator should not of change it from when the power came from the statue things like in the original

Oh well. It's a reboot and things change.

If people want things to be like the original show so much, they still have the original show to watch if they will not accept the fact that the new Thundercats show is an Alternate Continuity that keeps the spirit of the original and look at the new show through a Nostalgia Filter.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but personally, people who decry new things because it is not like the things they grew up with are one of my biggest pet peeves. It's time for these people to stop living in the past and join the present.

Is there a trope for the fact that the first act always ends with Lion-O getting the Cats in trouble and ending up saying "Whiskers" in exasperation immediately before the commercial?

And it sounds to me like Rene Auberjonois did the voice of the giant bird in "The Forest of Magi Oar", which immediately made me think of Wah Shi Tong from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Hi all, new troper here. I was thinking, couldn't Panthro's samoflange be a reference to the Samophlange? We never see it and we're never told what it does. I just wanted some opinions before making my first addition to T Vtropes.

Nope, rather its Warcrafts usage that's likely a reference to Thundercats infamous outtake reel, made when World of Warcraft was a twinkle in Blizzard's eye.

Ah, I was unaware of this outtake reel before. And I was on dial-up when I posted this. Sorry.

Over on the Character Page a troper makes a point about reducing the spoilerplate. (It's a month in, and some of the revelations are now inferential in the setting itself, like the existance of tech and Grune's defection to Mumm-Ra) But since I'm usually just the purely avoidant type, I'd like some advice on the finer points of prioritization. Should the nature of some reveals be kept secret? (For example, Humongous Mecha are now a given, but the moment of missile bombardment is still a tremendous shock in the episode's context) In the Avatar: The Last Airbender series, some critical plot points from even the earliest seasons are still spoilerplated. How to decide properly?

Is it just me, or is having every other word be a blue hyperlink in several of the trope entries unnecessarily distracting? Especially as many of these links are redundant as there are already entries for such tropes in the main body of the page?

Boredom and zeal for Potholes are my Fatal Flaw. Well, that and a foolish disrespect for the preview button. They're meant to season and keep flow, but I run perilously close to All-Blue Entry here on not a few, and should doublecheck for exacerabative bluelinking behind spoiler-plate while I'm at it. I'll swallow my pride and set to work.

I agree with this. Is it truly necessary to have every 3rd or 4th word bluelinked? Not only is it distracting, but many of the blue links are used far too much, like Stock Punishment when referring to the stockaded lizardmen in the premiere and Blood Sport for the games in which Lion-O and Tygra participated.

Myself as well. I was half expecting them in the magic forest episode.

I think the intro could use a revision. There's lots of past tense and the word "animation" is used 3 times in one sentence in a very confusing way. The character page intros could use some expanding too.

EDIT: Okay, like the new intro.

It looks like the page for Thundercats2011 is well underway.

Word. I think we can expect Troper Critical Mass to hit sometime around Friday the 29th at 9:01 PM.
