Shouldn't this be a Useful Notes page?

Needs to be expanded on. Also, I object to the idea that it is a step by step thing, that's a misunderstanding caused by textbooks. It's more of a method or a process than a recipe, the key part being that you test your hypothesis. I don't know how to rewrite it better though.
