Question about the "hitchhiking with ghosts" entry: I've just watched the pilot (for the first time), and I don't recall any ghostly airmen. Are you sure those encounters take place during the pilot, or should that be listed as another episode? I know they run into the aliens at least once more during the series.

I was incorrect on that. It's actually in the episode "Operation Spoilsport."

At least I know I didn't miss something while watching the pilot the other day! I didn't think I'd seen any ghosts in that episode, but you had me wondering.

I played the episode in fast forward last night up until the point that I realized, "It's not this episode!" Sadly, dhe DV Ds have a lot of the original music edited out and replaced with other music. In "Operation Spoilsport," they're supposed to play "Eve of Destruction," but they play something else. That really sucks.

Which DVD set do you have? I just bought the Mill Creek set which has the entire series in one box. I've never seen most of the episodes, so I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm guessing that the company just didn't want to pay for clearance rights, or they were too expensive.

I always hate it when old shows are cut or altered like that though. Ideally, I'd always rather see them as they were originally broadcast.

What's the trope for the fact that he doesn't have a "superhero name" ?

I don't think that is a trope. At least, it's not one that we have on the site.
