Since it appears to be somewhat of a contested trope (and no about Role Association potholes; my bad), where's the line drawn for Hey It's That Guy?

Obviously in this case Reeves, Whittaker and Laurie are well-known enough that the trope doesn't really apply to them anymore but what about the minor characters like Santos (Amaury Nolasco) or De Mille (John Corbett), who have appeared in various things but aren't necessarily high-profile actors? Or Washington (Terry Crews) who, besides the Old Spice Body Blocker ads, who often plays supporting Big Scary Black Man roles like in Idiocracy or The Expendables?

Just figured I'd float it here first rather than just throwing it up on the Trivia page.
