The 300 example: I don't think that's a stealth insult at all. IIRC, the look on Ephialtes' face says he knows exactly what Leonidas means. I think it's more of values dissonance, that we'd consider the phrase a blessing rather than a curse.

I haven't seen the episode in question, but it seems highly unlikely that Uncle Phil wouldn't know he was being insulted in the second page quote. He's not exactly dumb.

I could remove the insult picture I just put up... (including the captions if the stealth caption is insulting).
