Anyone else get a real And Zoidberg vibe from the And Starring Michael Shanks thing. Kind of figured that he'd really pissed someone off with his little furlough.

I have decided that I love this show enough to start a recap page for it. Does anyone have any advice, or would like to volunteer to write a few recaps? For starters, should "Children Of The Gods" be one recap or two? When I saw it, it was collected into one episode, but I know that it was originally two. Thoughts?

I just noticed a lot of similarities between the plots of episodes 7:01 and 7:02 and the Star Wars original trilogy (mission planning seems very similar, both cases a death star is threatening to fire a Ray Motion Gun at the planet of a captured main character, the energy core of the death star looks almost identical, there's even a direct reference in that O'Neill requests to be called "red leader" when attacking Anubis' death star, etc. etc.. I'm just not sure how to classify it. Homages are supposed to be deliberate, and I have no source to verify it being intentional.

Is this the trope namer for I Die Free? I can't find the namer for it, so should we add it to the 4 tropes SG-1 already named?

WHEW! I had read so much Stargate SG-1 stuff here on the site I started watching the series back in January - I had only seen the movie, when it came out. Just now finished the end of season ten and I'm done.

Great ride, folks. I've seen one season of Atlantis and need to move on to the DVD movies now.

Anyone think we should create a laconic page for SG-1 that says "Elite Air Force team fights false gods" or something similar?

I'm thinking of adding Race Lift to the page for all the instances where an alien civilization is portrayed by white actors when they're supposedly descended from native American people. Except for the Salish in "Spirits" every civilization descended from the Americas is currently caucasian. However, I'm not sure if that technically counts for the trope, since they're not characters or specific people, and whenever an actual specific person (Or Goa'uld) appears they're at least from the correct continent (Yu and Amaterasu are Asian, Olokun is African, Kali is Indian, etc.)

A definite example would be Zipacna, a Mayan god, what do you think about the general civilizations?
