arromdee: Is this supposed to be only for British examples? The anime section is mostly British, but has a Soul Eater example that obviously isn't, and given that Japan is a tea-drinking country there are other examples that could be added (plenty of tea drinking in Haruhi Suzumiya, for instance).

A couple of other examples also aren't British, like the Discworld example.

Why was the picture deleted? Been there years without a problem, near as I recall.

Question about the Playing With Wiki entry: How does Must Have Caffeine count as Justified Spot Of Tea?

tea contains caffeine, some people may opt to get their fix from tea not coffee. You can see this in British workplaces sometime around half ten to eleven am and again at about quarter past two to three pm.

I'm surprised this article didn't add James Bond and Malcolm Reed from "Star Trek Enterprise" as aversions to this trope. Bond supposedly hates tea and Lieutenant Reed prefers coffee.

Folks, the Real Life stuff in this article has gotten out of hand. We used to have it in Troper Tales but Troper Tales is gone now. Since Trope Repair Shop is closed due to backlog still, I've started a YKTTW to get the stuff into Useful Notes form - http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php?id=9x29ivipxjiu4qrlnje8yxvp
