How about a fanfic author who inserts herself into the story (as an intentional spoof, mind you), and the initials of her username are OC?

Deleted, because come on.

  • In The Rock, Sean Connery plays secret agent John Mason, who has several similarities to Connery's more famous character, including their monograms, if you flip Mason's last initial 90 degrees.
  • Tom Clancy's most famous hero, Jack Ryan, is one closed loop away from being a JB.
  • By bisecting the "D," John Drake of Danger Man also becomes a JB.

Given that Kirk's middle initial is given as R in the very first episode before it's Ret Conned, is it really all that correct to draw conclusions from the not-really-very-close resemblance between T and F? I don't have a problem saying that Roddenberry gave Kirk the initials JK because of Kennedy, but given the contradictory evidence I think trying to tie the middle name into it is a stretch.
