"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo is this trope about schoolgirl-aged girls that has romantic relationships with other girls before moving on with a guy when they grow up or is it about lesbians who just happens to be in high school?
It is kind of jarring to have, say, Santana Lopez from Glee who went through an season-and-a-half arc going through personal hell trying to ignore, deny, figure out, hide her lesbianism before finally accepting it and her facing the consequences of that being described as a "Schoolgirl Lesbian" What is so schoolgirl about it? She is a girl that goes to school, but those things are incidental to her queerness.
The laconic states that the trope is "girls who like other girls," but the name seems to exclude non-schoolgirls from being listed. As far as I can tell, this is just being used as a female equivalent to Yaoi Guys, and I'm not sure if it is or isn't. I'd suggest a different name for the trope, as it's a bit broader in its scope than is implied by the current name.
