CLAMPS art style doesn't bother me normally. I read this, Tsubasa, and Cardcaptor, and watched Sakura when I was younger. but the anime for this series is the first time where the Noodle People seems distracting. When they are sitting down or close up it's fine, but when we get a full-body shot of a person it becomes apparent that their head is too small for their body. Anyone else feel this way?

You are not the only one.

I agree, the anime for this series didn't do the art justice at all. Not to mention that it was horribly Off Model more often than not. I think CLAMP's design for this series works well on paper but not in motion.

It's the motion of their bodies too. That really puts them in the uncanny valley for me.

Additionally it seems they couldn't keep the proportions straight in the anime, while in the manga it's pretty consistent. Seeing as CLAMP has been doing this for so long they know how to stay consistent, but the animators don't. Yuuko in particular just didn't translate onto the screen, though there is a note in one CLAMP artbook about how they went back and forth on her design for a while.

The art in this reminds me of Edward Gorey, so no, it doesn't bug me at all. In fact, I find it very suited to the story. But that may be because I'm a huge Gorey fan. :)

Darn, I'd hoped there was a characters page for this. I wanted to have Watanuki's entry start with the description "A straight guy whose life is controlled by five (1+4) fujoshi." Seriously, eight volumes in and I'm starting to think it's self-parody — almost literally, the universe itself slashes him.

What exactly happened with the Wild Mass Guessing, Just Bugs Me, and Fanfic Recommendations pages? First off there are two WMG pages: one that can be accessed from the main xxxHolic page and one "hidden" one that you have to go to the list on the WMG page to get to. And the JBM and Fanfic links are missing from the main page entirely, and to get to those you have to go hunt them down the same way you would the "hidden" WMG page. It's a mite troublesome.

I would guess that they have to do with the funky namespace, so if we put them all onto the main page's domain http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ptitletanigjtzzgkp that might fix it.

Was the ending supposed to signify that Watanuki became, somewhat like a Yuuko-holic with his inability to move on?
