i think that this whole thing is unfounded, we are humans after all, we are parasitic at our worse and at our best zero impact, we really don't help the world at all, we never have and frankly we never will. if the world becomes something out of a dystopian novel then we will adapt, if the air is gone then we'll live in biospheres, if the waters rise then we'll live in boats, if our food is destroyed then we'll find a viable way of living off of vitamin pills.
to say that something drastic like the world losing it's oxygen supply will kill every single human being alive is stupid, we are more persistent than that. yes it might kill many millions of people, most if not all the ecosystem, but the world keeps spinning, and as long as a girl and a guy can get together the world will continue to do so.
by no means am i saying that i want to live like this, i prefer meat over pills any day, yes we should work for sustainability but sustainability will never happen. it's coded in our very genetics and the universe itself that not only will there be a person on the short end of the stick but that person will gain company as each and every year passes.
understand this, use this, and flourish in ways that the universe says is impossible.
