I think we should remove the Matt Ward example for now. It sounds too much like complaining, not mentioning at all that he is a fan, and I am unable to find anyone with knowledge of the Warhammer franchise to edit it.

Can we change the page image to David Tennant?

A: Take it to Image Picking.

B: Probably not, unless you can find a really good image.

Is it alright to change the name of this trope to "Promoted Fan," just to avoid sexism?

  1. "Sexism" isn't a valid reason to rename something
  2. It's a Trope Repair Shop business, not a discussion page one

Missie Good was a Xena: Warrior Princess fan who wrote an episode in season 5. It was crap and it made no sense.

XWP Season 1, beginning: Gabrielle is a squeeing fan-girl and wants to learn to be a warrior. Later, when she learns how to fight, she chooses to KO Bad Guy with a staff rather than kill them with a sword, but she has no ethical issues that Xena kills Bad-Guys.

Season 4. Under New Management, Eli priest of the One True God tells Gabrielle to throw away her very violent staff and kill people with non-violent sais instead.

By the time, that Missie Good gets to write her episode, she must write under the constraints of the new regime and the episode makes even less than episodes which were written by regular management apparachniks.

Canonical episode Siege of Amphipolis Good Guy puts his hand in his pocket to get his handkerchief. Gab thought he was pulling a weapon and killed him with sais. She did not feel guilty because it was thw will of the One True God.

Missie Good wrote an episode where Gab felt guilty about killing a Good Guy after that theme had been thoroughly Jossed.

This isn't the place to complain about an episode or writer you don't like.
