We have a lot of unreliable sources in Real Life, especially the samurai. Can we say nothing before modern times in RL?

The page has become pretty long, and I'm sure there are many more examples to follow. So, how about splitting the example list?
Do atomic bombs count? obvious they do a hell of a lot of damage, but can only need one or two guys to lunch them, so do they count?
