For some reason, the page indexes all the listed works before the trope section. I don't know why. The markup seems okay and the other Oldest Ones in the Book pages work alright.

I am not familiar with this passage, so I don't know whether or not it relates to the trope. My question is whether this is too subjective to include here?

Lord Gro, how come you moved Greek theatre to the late 5th century? I got the 6th century date from my ancient Greek history textbook. Aristophanes was not by any means the first to write comedy, merely the most famous.

I moved Comedy, not Greek theatre. The comedy genre is younger than tragedy, the first Greek comedy being performed in 485 BC, according to Wikipedia.

I name-dropped Aristophanes because he's almost the only Greek comic playwright that has complete works surviving (I think there are only one or two surviving Greek comedies that are not by Aristophanes, and the rest is all fragments). It's not strictly necessary to mention him, of course.

Of course, now that it looks like we will push the cut-off back, the move has become rather irrelevant.

A lot of Norse myths are listed in Older Than Print but many are also in here. The main Norse texts were recorded after feudalism, but Tacitus mentions some. Considering the general mess Older Than Feudalism and Older Than Print used to be in, and still are regarding biblical stories, I'm assuming that the Norse myths haven't been carefully divided up based on which author mentioned them first. I haven't read Tacitus, so I'm simply moving them all to Older Than Print unless the source is specified. But I hope somebody else can sort them out for real.

The biblical references are still all over the place. Somebody who knows what they're doing, please sort them out on this page and Older Than Dirt.
