Not sure if the Cardcaptor Sakura precisely fits this, as the name change was apparently done alongside editing that removed the episodes without Syaoran for the American broadcast, so it isn't shortening for brevity as it is an attempted demographic shift, which places this as a market based title (which this is already under), or even version based title as even Madman entertainment when they released the international version of the english dub (which while edited, had all the episodes in it) way back when used cardcaptors for it, while their recent release of the uncut japanese version uses the original title "cardcaptor sakura".

I didn't just remove it with a note about it being a Market-Based Title as it could still potentialy count as this some of the other titles refer to the dubbed versions (though pretty cure has an official shortened title in Japan, and kodacha follows simillar shorting "rules" that other shorted titles do) official titles, though again, some of those don't go by their full japanese title in their english release, which leads me to believe that they should also be moved (or if they are already there, just deleted) to Market-Based Title.
