Definition has "ideas". Classification that follows seem to pursue only objects.

I think that a "Moral Motifs" motif grouping is missing and needed.

Is there any specific reason why this page doesn't have a Misc. Motifs section or page? I've noticed that there are quite a few examples that wikiword to this index due to not having anything else to put it under and properly cross-wick with.

I wasn't aware that motifs had to be symbolic or significant or support a theme. The definitions from dictionary.com only say that a motif is something repeated. Where did this extra part of the definition come from?

Okay, if this helps, a motif is something like a recurring theme in a work of fiction, and usually of a symbolic nature. For instance, a motif could be 'flowers' if it shows up in the Theme Naming of the main characters, is seen several times in the background, and used most often in metaphors. Hope that helps.
