I think because it was never a proper trope so much as just a list of people with mismatched eyes. Which, while peachy, is meaningless and thus not what this site is going for. Thus the disambig, they're possible meanings behind a character with mismatched eyes.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Oh, gods. Did anyone actually read the blurb at the top? Do note that the heterochromia has to have some form of relevance to the character's backstory and/or their role in the plot. Do not add a character simply because s/he happens to have heterochromiac eyes. A good 80% minimum of the entries had that significance applied. I don't see this bull treatment being given to any of the other eyes tropes. If there were entries that didn't fit that description, they should have been removed. And don't even try to tell me that it would make it too short. I've seen tropes too short to merit all categories, let alone dropboxes.
Don't you just love it when a trope is completely obliterated without even a mention of the discussion on the discussion page? After some digging around in the history (which I shouldn't have had to do) I found it: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13545690040A55560100&page=16#380
Does having sectoral◊ heterochromia◊ qualify for this trope? I think I've seen a few characters with such eye color/shapes.
Edited by MarqFJA Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. Hide / Show RepliesMy instinct is no; color variation in eyes, particularly non-animated/drawn ones, is fairly common and generally of no significance. Sometimes a character might have, say, black eyes with gold radiating from the pupil; that could go in the general Technicolor Eyes.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. We need a different picture. I cant even tell the two eyes apart.
Hide / Show RepliesSeriously, where's the old page pic? That one was just fine! I can't even see his eye color(s) in that image!
Edited by StoogebieIt was changed a few days ago, and the replacement (this◊) was awful. Reverting.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Didn't we have Troper Tales for this one? (And on a personal note, does anyone have any idea who a blonde, blue-and-green-eyed anime girl who has at least one very bad day might be?)
Hide / Show RepliesNope, it appears we don't. *Sigh*. Now I can't talk about my creepy eyes.
If I can't beat the crap out of you, nobody can.Seconded. F'n SPOON, hacking off the humorous page titles that are half the damn attraction of the wiki.
Wow, that picture really creeps me out! Talk about Uncanny Valley.
Why are you reading this line?
Would someone please explain why the hell this thing has been changed from a proper trope to... this?
