Am I the only one who feels that calling what happened to Lebello after Rheinhard's speech a villainous breakdown a bit much? The man was no saint in life or politics but he tried to make things work for the Alliance. Heroic BSOD seems a bit too far in the opposite direction though. Thoughts?

Edited the entry to minimize mentions of Yang's death. I know spoiler hounds wouldn't care, but still, the main reason his death has such an impact (as it did back when the novel was first published) is that nobody expects it, least of all the way it happens. With some characters Genre Savvy viewers can tell that they're going to die but his was entirely unexpected. So I think it's better to minimize people's chances of knowing about it.

"There's a 12 cm height difference between them. :) According to the novel, at 172 cm Mittermeier is shorter than the average male of the time."

Strange. There was a scene in the anime where they were walking next to each other, and Mittermeyer seemed to be maybe five or six cm shorter than Reuental, which only qualifies as "slightly shorter" in my book. Seems like an inconsistency at the very least.

Oops, I only noticed this now...

There are many scenes in the anime where they're next to each other, and while there are some inconsistencies, most of the time there's a clear height difference, like in this one.

But regardless of adaptations, their respective heights and Mittermeier's relative shortness are official info, mentioned both in the novel and in various additional materials.

So, I've been reading the anti-heroes trope page, and it's struck me that Reinhard is perhaps a lot closer to type III than type II...no?
