— There was an excellent follow-up novel of the Monkey King, "the Stone Ape", i believe (my copy is in storage a few years, now), which was written something like a century or two later, but quite well ... — Also, the rendition of this trickster's early adventures, in Heavy Metal magazine (!) were quite evocative and certainly conveyed the character well to modern and western audiences ... Hopefully, someone can provide the details of these two works by a little web-re-search, before i get back to it - as i'm mid-multitask, just now, and late for a conference-call online ...
