Moved the following to the Deconstructive Parody page.

  • Jonny actually shows up as a drug-addled, burned-out middle-aged man, raging against his negligent father and running scared from an old foe, Dr. Zin. Although a recent appearance has shown that Jonny's recovered enough to converse with Zin like a normal person.

And deleted the following Natter from the same section.

  • Which is odd when you consider that Dr. Quest never intentionally took the kids into dangerous situations in the old show, it was more the result a visit to someplace snowballing into something because some evil faction was operating in the area.
    • An In Universe Alternate Character Interpretation?
    • Actually, in TOS Dr. Quest repeatedly and knowingly either took the kids into danger or kept them in a dangerous situation, e.g. "Calcutta Adventure," "Treasure of the Temple," "The Fraudulent Volcano," etc.
    • Well, the Quest family only has one bodyguard, and the boys did have a tendency to follow the adults despite being told to stay out of danger or be kidnapped by henchmen. Not the intended result Dr. Quest wanted, but sometimes he had no choice or his hand was forced.

Moved the following to the Fair For Its Day page while deleting the duplicated material.

  • The show has some blatant stereotypes by modern standards, including the almost complete absence of any black people (there are about 3 seconds worth of angry African natives in the end credits), but even so, the non-Caucasian characters were handled pretty well for its day, being shown as competent and speaking fluent English. Hadji for example was formally adopted into the Quest family, portrayed as Jonny's equal, and had tricks that amazed or confused the adults featured. Plus the art style helped avoid the pretty racist depictions you'd see in earlier animation.

Moved the following trope examples to their respective Western Animation pages or deleted them, as their pages ask that they not be listed on works pages as a trope.

  • Ear Worm: Don't lie -– every time you heard that big band opening theme, you used your hands to drum along with it on the nearest flat surface.

  • Ho Yay: Dr. Quest and Race. Watching the cartoons gives you every reason to believe they're a couple.

  • Nightmare Fuel: The series had some frightening creatures and events. Two of the best known (the Robot Spy and the Mummy from "Curse of Anubis") actually show up in the opening sequence.
    • "The Invisible Monster," "Monster in the Monastery," and "The Sea Haunt" all had lots of Nightmare Fuel, especially if you watched them when you were little.

Deleted "The Robot Spy" from The Dragon, as the title thing was just a robot espionage device, not a character.
