- Fable The Journey takes place between Fable and Fable II, and involves just what happened to Theresa after her blinding in the first game.
Deleted, as this information is entirely incorrect. Fable The Journey takes place after Fable III. The Hero of Brightwall (which is the title of the player character in Fable III) is even referred to in game. If this happened in between the events of I and II, Theresa would not have appeared in II or III, since she'd have been dead.

A midquel and an interquel are not quite the same thing. The former occurs in the middle of an existing film, while the latter, having the prefix inter-, is between two movies. Another name for a midquel might be "intraquel," as intra- means "within."
Everyone Has An Important Job To Do
Just throwing it out there, but Betweequel rolls off the tongue (and sounds closer to Sequel, while being marginally more recognizable as a portmonteau [Interquel... the new blood pressure drug?]) much better than Interquel IMO.
