"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's not enough for me to remove it unilaterally, but...
- Grace (who provides the page quote for Innocent Fanservice Girl) comes up with quite a lot of these. Recently, while attempting to convince her teacher to let her help on a monster hunt.
Grace: I'm eighteen! I'm a major!Raven: As though that makes you an adult.Grace: Legally, it does. You can do all sorts of stuff with me!
...is this really an example? Only I'm pretty sure she means exactly what it sounds like. (Although I am going to take it upon myself to remove the word "recently.")
Edited by TwinBird My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger. Hide / Show Replies...and now I am removing it unilaterally, due to a consensus on the crosswick that it doesn't fit, whether that's what Grace meant or not.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.- The Assumptions Song by the Arrogant Worms. "If you don't like it, then go bleep yourself!"
This example violates Weblinks Are Not Examples and contains a misattribution. The Assumptions Song is not by the Arrogant Worms. I don't remember who actually does it. Leaving this here in case someone does and can add context.
Without further context, I think the New Moon and maybe The Scarlet Pimpernel examples should probably be moved to Accidental Innuendo. It doesn't seem like they were intentional by the author.
