Hey guys, just wondering if I could get some backround on this:

Bury Your Gays: The only gay character, played by Harvey Fierstein, is quickly killed off.

I don't remember who this was or what happened. Was this Will Smith's friend who died? I haven't seen this whole movie in a while...

Harvey Fierstein was David's boss at the cable company in the early parts of the film. You'll remember him as a gravely voiced chubby guy, constantly yelling "David!"

BTW, give the guy a break. He may have killed the gay, but the world was saved by Jews and blacks. That's got to count for something!

The redirect ID 4 was cut as a initialism. However, official initialisms are allowed and ID 4 was officially used on posters such as this Brazilian one and this one; so it shouldn't have been cut.

I removed the long bit at the start about how despite all the plot holes it's actually good. If you remove negative statements, how could you possibly keep positive ones? Both are forcing your opinion on readers of the article.

Tear Jerker is a YMMV trope now? But it was obvious the studio intended for the "Mommy's sleeping" scene to be sad and tug at the heartstrings. Whether the viewers got choked up might be YMMV, but that's definitely what the scene was going for.

I was unable to create a troper's tale section, where I believe this should belong, so I will place it here. The Wal Mart in Roswell, New Mexico plays Independence Day every day on a television set in front of the cash registers.
