Re. natural immunity of natives to jungle diseases such as malaria: for the most part this is simply that the adult natives are the minority who survived bouts of disease as infants or young children, which each generation going through a similar culling. When Liberia was founded as a paternalistic attempt to "repatriate" freed slaves "back to" Africa, most of them died of disease as swiftly as Europeans did.

Deleted the following from the Literature - Robert A. Heinlein - Tunnel in the Sky example for being Natter that violated Example Indentation.
- Part of the time. The book is realistic in that it's not like the entire planet is jungle; they eventually move out to something that's more of a savannah, in part because there are distinct advantages to this relative to being in the forest.
