On the literature part, talking about Older than Feudalism: It would seem more sensible to me to simply not mention the specific instances that don't work, rather than listing them all and then describing below why they aren't really examples.

On a more positive note: Would David and Goliath work for this? I know it isn't really a flashy example (does holy hand grenade need to be a flashy sort of glowing holy power? I felt in the article like maybe it did; do subtle "maybe it was divine power" count as well?), but as far as old classic ideas go, David flinging a sling blessed by God which miraculously defeats the beastly villain, it seems a pretty good one to me.

So, this counts for any use of powers associated with goodness* (including light) to kick ass?

So, instead of having a flash game no one's ever heard of as the page picture, maybe someone can find a still of the original Holy Hand Grenade from Monthy Python?

Of course, there is no such thing as notability, but then in actual life there is and I'd say it's a good idea to have a heading picture of an instantly recognisable icon from film history the page was actually named for.

The image explains itself well. You don't need to have HEARD of the series for it to work, It just has to be easily apparent that the image matches the page. It serves that purpose sufficiently. (Indeed, the Bullet Heaven image WAS chsen through image picking. The previous image was of the Holy Hand Grenade weapon in the Worms series.)

And, also. "Instantly recognisable?" I certainly wouldn't recognise it. You're displaying Fan Myopia in this discussion.

I'm surprised that using the Ark of the Covenant to melt evil Nazis isn't mentioned in this discussion.
