The description is "African-Americans give their kids weird names", but some of the examples are "poor people give their kids weird names" (Mme Thenardier is neither African nor American.) Which is right? Because if it's the latter, then the tendency of the Lancrastian peasantry in Discworld to take a "fresh if somewhat sideways approach to names, generally just picking a sound they liked" probably qualifies. But I don't want to add it if it's Square Peg, Round Trope.
