You should add the detail in the "Film - Animation" catergory. (Not sure if this should belong in this article or in "Gag Sub".) I remember when there is one scene from the movie, Gnomeo and Juliet", where there was a subtitle gag. The gag is shown in the part where the frog character says some Spiderman joke or whatever it is (I forgot what she said), and the Japanese subtitles appear on the screen. XD (English translation required.) I was wondering if this should be added. Thanks! -Dat Ms Know It All

I cut this from the page:

  • The Matrix: Path of Neo has subtitles when anyone is speaking Chinese/Japanese, in the English version, at least.

I don't know whether someone just forgot to write context or what. Right now it's not an example.

Deleted the Self-Demonstrating Article for, well, not being Self-Demonstrating (seeing how this is a wiki and thus has no subtitles), just a bunch of jokes ripped straight out of Monty Python And The Holy Grail. If anyone wants to read it (or cannibalise the special signs used), here it is:

Subtitles are a wonderful tool for translating foreign languages on screen. Sòmetîms, hòwévër, sømëønê wïll gët thë brítê idëa tø mêss wîth thém. Wì not treì a hòlidäy in Swëdën this yër? We apologise again for the fault in this entry. Those responsible for sacking the troper who has just been sacked, have been sacked.

The troper hired to continue this entry after the other troper had been sacked, wishes it to be known that they have just been sacked. This entry has now been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute

Subtitles can be fun! Llamas!
