Nope, but thanks. I didn't know there was an Intrepid Reporter trope. Although they often are, there's no rule that a Foreign Correspondent has to be a journalist. The "Foreign" is the important part, and the "Correspondent" refers to the fact that they become the audience's (but not necessarily the public's) eyes and ears in the foreign land.
