Just a note guys: Criticizing Castro is OK (check the No Real Life Examples page before editing, though), but using this article as a platform to attack U.S. Democrats or Western Liberals is not.

I don't think most of the tropes I added about him were particularly flattering, even considering what a polarizing figure he is. Some completely neutral ones were removed for no reason, too.

I think it's better off if we get rid of tropes involving him. After all, he stirs too many emotions. Some love him and think he's misunderstood, while many see him as a murderous dictator as bad as Ghaddafi or Achmadinejad or Mussolini. That does not make a good recipe for an article that wouldn't have far too many Edit Wars. That said, his article is a lot more flattering than the Fox News one...

Dear God, now we even have a gushing article about Fidel Castro. I mean, even most Democrats aren't supporters of this guy, right?

All the information in the main article was adapted from Wikipedia - and mind you, it clearly states he's the "Glorious Leader" of a poor country led by a one-party dictatorship (not exactly something to be proud of). On the other hand, the info about Cuba's healthcare, education and environment is supported by non-Cuban sources, such as the UN.

I'm not the one who added the tropes part - I avoided doing so for the same reason Che Guevara's page. I'm not gonna delete all those tropes now that they've been added, so take up the issue with one of the mods if you like.
