Okay, about this line:

"Tends to be rare in settings where most people are long-lived, as generally the culture has decided that after a couple hundred years even the most passionate of lovers will get sick of one another."

I agree that this is cynical, but I'm not sure that the optimistic replacement is actually needed. What if we just cut out the line about "settings where most people are long-lived" altogether? Or else reword the current wording to make it clear that this is not always more common in such settings?

Eu-Daimonia: Mephistopheles is hinted to do something like this in sequence, as she always has been seeking out the reincarnations of one and the same guy for hundreds of years. But I cannot find Eu-Daimonia anywhere anymore...
