I'm trying to find an eastern animation, but I don't remember its name. I do remember it was about a little girl who is given an special object by an old lady. This object grants any wishes, so the little girl starts wishing for toys and the like, but at the end she uses her last wish for a disabled boy to be healthy (she had met him earlier and he said something about not being able to play). Help me find it, please!

I'm trying to track an animation that I saw in the late 1980s (possibly produced between the late 1970s and late 1980s) It was shown among many Eastern European animated shorts. If it was Eastern European, the version I saw was dubbed into English (there was a narrator) and I'm not sure of the country of origin. In English, the title was called 'Rootie the Pixie'. I think it had 4 episodes.the story was set in a forest and centered on a pixie baby/boy that hatched from an acorn in a big tree. I've been searching all over but can't seem to find reference to it.
