Can we get the name changed to "Do Not F*** With The Sisko"? Or at least an aka? Because YOU DO NOT F*** WITH BENJAMIN SISKO.
Moved the example referring to Lucifer in Sandman to the 'Bullying a Dragon'' trope, since Lucifer chose not to retaliate.
We should change this trope's definition to require the warning not to taunt the Eldritch Abomination or other danger. Without that requirement, this is just I Shall Taunt You directed at a monster. Is the current definition really necessary enough to warrant being a separate trope?
Hide / Show RepliesI think the idea is, IShallTauntYou is a taunt towards an enemy with the intent to manipulate the tauntee, whereas this is about taunting something so powerful, so totally out of one's league, that NOTHING good could possibly come of it.
This seems oddly similar to Bullying a Dragon.
Edited by captainsandwichThe difference, if I understand these tropes correctly, is that with this trope, the taunter has (or thinks he has) the tauntee at a sufficient disadvantage. Not so with Bullying a Dragon.
Edited by Gideoncrawle Bigotry in the name of inclusion is still bigotry. The Bible probably shouldn't be put under Literature. Not that I disagree.
Hide / Show RepliesEh, that's where it's namespaced. Sometimes it's in a Religion and Mythology folder, sometimes in Literature; seems to just be case-by-case depending on who put it where first.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
