This page is terrible. I didn't understand half of the rules described, and I'm an avid fan of the sport who already knows the rules -_-.

Could we please have a baseball rules as well? Note very user of the wiki is a yank, y'know.

Seriously though, that game confuses me. Is it like a sort of simplified rounders, or what?

Basically Rounders with different scoring, as I understand it (To the point that, iirc, at least one game has been played between Britain and America where the Brits thought they were playing Rounders and the Americans thought they were playing Baseball - Both sides thought they won due to the scoring discrepencies, and thought the other side were blatantly cheating by claiming victory. Basically, imagine the debates caused by people playing with conflicting house rules to Monopoly without discussing the rules that will be played before hand [...My only requirements - No Free Parking Rule, agree on everything else beforehand, and I'd rather be playing the vast majority of games but if you insist some groups of players can create entertaining games on occasion. I think next time I wind up playing I'll specifically request we play the 'everything goes to auction' variant, which might actually make the first 30-90 minutes worthwhile, a good group will make the middle 30-90 minutes entertaining, but nothing can be done for the final 60-180 minutes...] on an international scale)

I propose Cricket Rules be split into two part:

1- Cricket Rules, which is to explain the game in SIMPLE terms for any troper coming from any (or no) game background.

2- Cricket Vs Baseball, which will be POINT-TO-POINT comparison, specifically catered to both, those tropers who come from a Base Ball background who wish understand Cricket, AND those from Cricket background trying to understand Base Ball.

In any case, the article is a mess, and has become, despite the good intentions of the tropers involved, into more of a Useless Notes than Useful Notes.

Any opinions will be welcome.

Explaining the game in simple terms would probably require leaving out half the subtleties that the article in its current form includes, but is feasible - I'd suggest a Cricket Crib Sheet page and a Cricket Rules page (which the current page reads reasonably as to me).

Cricket and Baseball, meanwhile, I'm not entirely convinced are actually easially comparable, Baseball being some kind of odd Rounders variant. Same family of games, yes, but the gameplay of the two have very little in common.

Hmm. This article seems to have simplified the game and attempted to explain it in baseball terminology to such an extent that it doesn't actually teach the reader anything, and in many cases confuses the reader.

Am hoping that it's now genuinely informative but also still amusing...?! :)
