If you feel this was your error, could you fix the wicks?

If the cut request is declined, deleting them wouldn't be much of a point. After it gets cut, will going through them make sense.

It's going to get cut; when a cut master asks the wicks to be deleted, it's a good indication it is going to be cut. It would make more sense to try chasing down the wicks while the Related To feature still works.

Just so you know, The "related to" feature still works after the article is cut. Just go to the Cut List, click the recent cuts, and manually type in the URL for the page you want the Red Links for. It'll verifiably work with the most recent ones, and it should work with older ones, too, provided you know their name. The "related to" script doesn't seem to actually care whether the page you are checking even exists or has ever existed.

From time to time, I check commonly cut links (like abbreviations) using this method to insure the page doesn't get mistakenly recreated via one of those links. So Yeah.

What Q wrote. And who was the cutmaster that asked this?

Okay, but I'll still do it after the cut, since some sort forgot the related feature still works after that.

Really? I've tried it before and it hasn't worked.

Okay, if it doesn't work, I'll fix the wicks if asked next time. I just didn't like it when someone would put something on the cut list, and not even wait for that to start cutting the wicks.

@Some Sort Of Troper:

Click on any of the above links. Those are pages that have been long cut as abbreviations. Chances are fairly good that one of them has a wick. You can do this for any game in the Final Fantasy series, or any title with a commonly cut abbreviation. Be sure to use Roman and Arabic numerals.

(After testing, please make sure to correct them ;) )

If those don't work, then this one ought to: IntentionallyBroken That's an intentionally broken link which is used on the article for Red Link to show what a Red Link looks like. Therefore, it should always have that one wick. Make sure you're including the namespace along with the article title, otherwise it doesn't work.
