I love the show very unique..but the ending was a bit rushed. i think that ending whould of been better and closed some lose ends. Like have the Guatrau be part of the STO along with Sigh (the reason why he had been sendig the cylons to the STO) Then when the Graystones goto the Area for the final battle, instead of Graystone controlling the cylons it was Tamera and Zoe. But the numbers of the sto prove to be too great for the cylons. So Sam rounded the Ha'la'tha and join the cylons in fighting the STO. In the V-world Zoe and Tamara confronts Clarice resulting her being brain dead, but her avatar still lingers. Thus making a plausible lead to the Clyon war

Of course the ending was rushed, they canceled it prematurely.

The reason why Gautrau sent cylons to STO was money. This was perfect Kick The Dog moment, no need to ruin it.

Regarding the trend for fake social Media accounts for characters in TV shows. How on earth can a Twitter account be explained for a character (AI, in this case) in a show that is supposedly set 'a long time ago in a galaxy far far away'? How does that work? *Head desk*

Maybe it just simply means that Twitter isn't the first of its kind. The Colonies probably have already thought up of everything we have right now.

What trope would I use for when a scene opens with a spider sitting in a web and zooming out to Sister Clarice, implying she herself is spider sitting in a web?

Probably Spider Metaphor Shot. Which I totally made up just now because I don't believe we have that trope and it would need to be proposed in YKTTW.

The Obfuscating Stupidity mention strikes me as pure Wild Mass Guessing. Unless someone can show evidence for it in the show I'm going to remove it.

Shout Out - The Tauron chant of mourning is set to the Tauron theme tune.

While it's not a Shout Out by definition, it seems too good an example to delete permanently. Problem is, it doesn't really fit neatly in any other category. It's close to being a Title Drop - a very unorthodox one where a piece of source music references a more prominent soundtrack piece. Is there someplace better for this to go?

I'd say it's a diegetic use of the soundtrack music - Bear Mc Creary did that on BSG, too, with Gaeta's lament. No idea what would be the fitting trope, though.

I put it under Shout Out because the supposed inter-continuity reference to New Caprica City was there and it seemed the same kind of thing to me. Even Mythology Gags are a noted as being a kind of Shout Out, so isn't Shout Out very broad? Looked for a better trope when I added it, didn't find one.

It could be considered a Leitmotif or Recurring Riff - Leitmotif is the appropriate term when a piece of music is used repeatedly to emphasize certain characters or themes. While this doesn't flag the fact that the music is from an ostensibly different series, that could go in the body of text. Something like this:

  • Leitmotif: The Tauron Chant of Morning in 'There Is Another Sky' is set to the Tauron theme tune from Battlestar Galactica, in a subtle Shout Out to that series.

No, it's the Tauron theme from this same series. BSG didn't have a Tauron theme tune.

Theme Tune Cameo? It's not actually the theme tune, but there are other examples there of "normally non-diegetic music used diegetically"

I tried to make the entry about LGBT characters in Unfortunate Implications a little clearer: firstly, I took the entry to mean Sam and Clarice (who is obviously not only interested in her husbands, but also in her wives), not Sam and Larry. Secondly, at least from my point of view, the unfortunate implication isn't that all gays are campy, it's that queer people in that universe so far tend to lean to the "evil" side (or are married to "evil" people, i.e. murderers, and probably tolerate what they do - at least Larry presumably knows what Sam does for a living).
