Which trope is the opposite of "Becoming a Real Boy" in a sense of Vulkan achieving Kolinahr, G La DOS deleting her emotions, human chosing to become a "soulless robot AI", etc. Becoming less of a "real boy", but not necessarily an intert inanimate object (because "Toy transformation" doesn't sound quite the inverse of BARB, I feel).
Contrast it with de-evolution or degradation, because it might be arguable whether it is a bad thing or a good thing (within fictional universe), but the key component is either desire to abandon emotions/humanity or the act of chosing to be more "robot-like".
Edited by FirkraagI once watched an anime movie retelling "Pinoccio," but now cannot remember the name. It was set on some alien planet full of Call a Smeerp a "Rabbit". The puppet's maker had lost his wife or daughter, and the puppet initially mistook other women for her. This puppet was made from the wood of some magical tree that preserves memories, and has bright blue sap. At the end, instead of becoming a real boy like he wanted, he turned into a tree.

Per TRS, Pinocchio Syndrome is being merged with this trope (under the name Become a Real Boy):
