I took out this because the direct influence from anime is felt much more in later DCAU series than in this one (Just look at the aliens in the Justice League premiere). Animesque should be in theory "Easy to mistake it for being Japanese in origin," which this is not. And a lot of people just don't seem to get that animesque doesn't mean "animated in Asia." About three-quarters of American made shows are outsourced to Asia to begin with, so quoting animation studios means nothing.
  • Animesque: Japanese Animation is cited as one of the stylistic inspirations of this series, and point in fact it is animated by Sunrise Studio of the Gundam franchise fame.

If we only have one item on the CMOA page and a link to the DCAU CMOA page, could we move the one item over to the DCAU page and reroute the CMOA link?

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure the intention of the new system is for there not to be any general CMOA pages for entire genre's (Or large shared universes), but instead to have all the info on the individual pages for the main works.

Is there an official policy?

I personally prefer them on individual pages attached to the main work page since general pages are usually difficult to find if you don't already know they exist.

Pre-empting the edit war, let's clear this up. I was not the one who originally added this Nostalgia Chick quote, and if I was going to write the Bechdel Test entry all on my own I wouldn't do it this way, but I don't see any actually problem with using this quote. Many articles on TV Tropes include quotes, comments and observations from reviewers, articles, etc. to explain or supplement their invidiaul trope entries. Why shouldn't this one be included?

although it mentions batman, it is not really talking about batman.

It's talking about how Batman is one of the few shows to include more than one "interesting and complex female characters." Seems to cover it pretty well. Of course, I haven't seen her video where she goes over this (Hey, I haven't seen everything on TGWTG.com, there's a lot to work through), what's it actually from?

but batman is not the main subject of the quote, the main subject of the quote is superheros in general.

It seems to me it's Lindsay giving context, explaing just how special Batman is by doing this when so many of the other series in the same genre don't.

but still, the sentence itself is talking about comic books in general, and is using batman only as an example

JBK is right about it being context. My main objection to it is sort of a Pet Peeve about how every page seems to have someone having tossed in a quote just to say "See! See! The Nostalgia Chick/The Nostalgia Critic said something about it!"

My point about Candace being a Faux Action Girl is that she was identified as The Dragon, and you generally expect The Dragon to be action-oriented.

I'm really not sure if a criminal wearing a skull-shirt is a Shout Out to The Punisher. It was here a few months ago and I deleted it then because, frankly, it's a (relatively) generic design. A shirt with a skull on it. I've seen people wearing shirts like that in real life. It's not a design unique to the character, like the various superhero logos or costumes, but a pre-existing thing that he co-opted.

Was there anything in the scene to imply it was a specific comic reference?
