I'm a little confused at this one, is it Real Life actors badly acting out a scene where they are meant to be a character acting badly or just a fictional character acting badly?

The name makes me think the former and the summary the latter

You know you're doing it wrong when you can't act out correctly in Real Life!

"What can almost be considered a trope in its own right is to attempt to homage William Shatner with strangely placed staccato pauses and random jumps in pitch."

I strongly agree - anyone want to add the page? I nominate "Shatneresque" as the trope name, though funnier is always better.

"Shatneresque" would be more related to Hollywood Tone-Deaf.
