The article says, "The tendency for the ancient constructions of non-white civilizations to dominate this list is... unfortunate. "
I'm going to be blunt - what ancient constructions of white civilizations are there? I can imagine a number of Greek and Roman entries are on the list, and of course Stonehenge, but what else is there?
Come to think of it, I haven't heard Greek entries in the various "this couldn't have been built by humans!" lists and conspiracy theories. Unfortunate Implications indeed.
Hide / Show RepliesAssuming "white" here means "European", we have quite a few buildings and structures that are older than, say, the Great Pyramid of Giza (2560 BC) such as the Monte d'Accoddi in Sardinia (4000–3650 BC) or Newgrange in Ireland (3200 BC), among many other in France, Scotland, England, Spain...
Would the Titans of World of Warcraft qualify? They left numerous huge works (including some pyramid structures in the newly reveled Uldum zone). The created/uplifted about half of the playable races.

Edited by DuskRavenWhat about The Silence from the new Doctor Who-season? They're essentially parasites that have manipulated mankind to achieve their own goals. Also, they're aliens. Really scary aliens...
I would've *totally* had captioned the picture as "Thor, the Norse god of Heavy Metal!"
Not sure if this fits, but if you go on tour in Egypt, the Egyptian tour guide is likely to be offended (whether brought up by someone in the group or not) at the idea the Pyramids and other marvels were built by aliens.
