Re cut: There seem to be several of these exampleless tropes similar to this that concern new media stuff - compare Hot Link or Eternal September. It doesn't seem to me that cutting them would be indicated - they are exampleless by design, not by shoddy creation.

I don't see how they're tropes. At best they're Useful Notes.

I am not entirely sure what to classify them as, but at any rate, the cutlist is not the place to fix this issue.

A lot of them were stuff from when the Web was an emergent mass communication form and were used heavily back then (in stuff like flash videos, message boards, one-shot webcomics and so on, stuff that hasn't survived in great numbers), but they've become ForgottenTropes from the early internet age as things have moved on. I don't think they should be cut, because they were tropes (and still are in come cases), but I think they should be expanded, given clearer descriptions, and generally be catalogued better.

I agree that neither here nor the cutlist is the place to sort the issue though.

Why the devil is this a trope?
